Dear lists,

We are excited to release updated versions of GSMmap [1] and SnoopSnitch [2] today.

== SnoopSnitch was further improved

- Now supports Android 5
- Partly supports custom ROMs (CyanogenMod)
- Translated to German and Dutch
- Improved IMSI catcher detection, and in fact found a couple, but none in critical locations
- Now collects data about USIM prevalence (given that older SIM cards are breakable by state agencies)

== GSMmap web site was extended

- Updated and new reports for 47 countries based on SnoopSnitch submissions (list below)
- Shows USIM prevalence
- Improved the look-and-feel, especially on mobile devices

====

Thanks to everybody who contributed suggestions and volunteered data!

Cheers,

     -Karsten
